The project at the Adutiškis Border Post provided our border guards with modern telecommunications and electricity infrastructure. Between May 2022 and January 2023, we installed 55 km of power lines and 208 km of telecommunication lines, which were necessary to ensure constant and reliable surveillance of the border with Belarus.

The work was carried out in difficult conditions - difficult to access swampy and muddy areas close to the Belarusian border - which posed particular logistical and engineering challenges.

The installation of these networks achieved the key objective of creating a reliable and permanent border surveillance system, which has become a necessity in response to the crisis of the influx of migrants from Belarus. The swift implementation of the project has led to a higher level of border security, providing the means to react quickly to potential violations and incidents.
