Upgrading Birštonas water supply and wastewater systems

Between 2020 and 2022, Birštonas Municipality carried out a project to not only upgrade outdated systems, but also to connect more plots of land to centralised water supply and wastewater systems. Addressing these infrastructure deficiencies has contributed to maintaining the ecological balance of the city and strengthening Birštonas' attractiveness as a resort.

The project replaced 395 metres of old water pipes and installed 369 metres of new lines. In the field of wastewater disposal, the renovation was even more extensive, with 6531 metres of new mains replaced and 1705 metres of new mains installed.

Thanks to this project, Birštonas residents can now enjoy improved centralised water supply and wastewater management services.
